esperanza , a beautiful full grown mare stood up on the hill waiting for her love to return when all the suddon a group of humans from the fort came and attacked the herd . esperanza tried to find the rest of the herd before it was to late but it was ... a huge rope went over her head and she was being dragged before she could even react . she just hoped spirit and the herd was fine .

Frost began to sense something after her grandmother hadn't come to the river in over hours!She promised!How could she! He planned to search for her without telling Spirit.The search was on!

Soul was lucky and had seen the humans take her she waited for dark and went to help her escape

Strider the handsome black horse was looking for his mate when he saw others. He galloped over to them in a hurry "Hey you guys have you seen Esperanza" he asks them a little worried, he hadn't seen his mate for a while and he was a little scared that something has happened to her.

Frost tried to search for anyone who had seen what had happened and in minutes had found Soul. "Have you seen what had happened to Esperanza? She was supposed to meet me at the lake but she never came! Please don't tell Spirit I'm looking for her on my own! He'd mistrust me and I'd never be allowed out of the den for AGES!"

Spirit herd it and his ears twithed, A white mare came running to him, "Frost is gone." She said worried, Spirit looked around, "I will be back." He said galloping twoard the whinnie.

help spirit ' a quiet whinnie came from esperanza afraid of being whipped , but then a CRACK came from the whip and a large swollen gash appeared on her back .
